Natural Remedies to Get Rid Of Lice

Lice are nature’s way of challenging humans. They are evil culprits
that can leave you scratching the whole day. The worst thing that can
happen to you if you have them on your head is embarrassment. They can
force you towards total isolation and keep you from going to work. It is
indeed a fact that lice or peducolosis capitis can be irritating and
annoying. This is why it is important to find ways on how to get rid of
them. However, getting rid of lice can be quite costly. Fortunately,
there are natural ways of doing this. Getting rid of lice the natural
way is easy because the materials or ingredients used are easy to find
and cheap. One natural remedy for lice eradication is the use of natural
oils such a sunflower, soya, olive, rosemary, tea tree, and eucalyptus
oils. These remedies can get rid of both lice and nits. You can start by
mixing one half cup of olive oil with two to three tablespoons of tea
tree oil. After doing so, you can rub it on the scalp and leave it there
for thirty minutes. After thirty minutes, you can already rinse it off
with vinegar to loosen eggs that are clinging on to the hair. Wait for
two minutes before rinsing off the vinegar with warm water. Tea tree oil
is among the most useful natural oil needed for removing hair lice. You
can also mix this with your regular shampoo or conditioner.

Olive oil is another useful natural oil. You can saturate your hair with
it and use a shower cap to cover your head. Leaving it overnight can
make the lice eradication process even more effective. Immediately after
waking up in the morning or before taking a bath, you should brush your
hair using a nit comb. After brushing your hair, lather it with vinegar
followed by your usual shampoo. This process can help dissolve the eggs
and kill lice.
Additionally, you can also use any type of edible oil equally mixed
with vinegar and eighteen to twenty drops of tea tree oil over your
head. If you mix all three ingredients properly, you can produce a
creamy paste out of them. Apply and massage the paste on scalp and damp
hair. After applying the paste, don’t forget to wrap it tightly with
plastic for three to five hours. This process can effectively suffocate
the lice. Do this process at least once a week or until lice are totally
eliminated. You can also use mayonnaise or Vaseline for getting rid of
lice. Like natural oils, they can also efficiently get rid of lice by
trapping them and letting them slide off your hair. You can simply apply
either Vaseline or mayonnaise on your head and leave it overnight. When
rinsing it early in the morning, use vinegar and shampoo.
Lice are definitely gross critters. It is highly important to get rid
of them before contaminating other people around you. By using these
natural remedies, you cannot only get rid of lice but you can also save
money. |
